Regresando a Casa: El Llamado a la Restauración
Coming Home: The Call to Restoration
Perhaps you feel like the prodigal son, far from God’s ways. You’re not connected to a church, you’re not honoring your body as the temple of the Holy Spirit, or you’ve simply taken some time to clear your mind. However, it is time to come home.
What is "Home"?
In the Christian context, "Home" does not only refer to a building but to a place of refuge, protection, and spiritual nourishment. The church is that home where we can find peace and strength, where God feeds us with His word and surrounds us with people who seek the same: refuge in Him. The Bible reminds us: "For in him we live and move and have our being" (Acts 17:28, NIV). Just as a physical house is a place of rest, the church is a spiritual refuge where we can find God’s comfort.
Why Return?
It’s natural to sometimes think we’re fine without needing to return to God or the church. You might feel satisfied with the life you’re living, but if you honestly examine your heart, you’ll notice something is missing. The peace that only God can give is not found outside His presence. The Bible reminds us of God’s unconditional love, who is always waiting for our return: "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him" (Luke 15:20, NIV). That’s how God is with you: waiting with open arms, ready to restore you.
The Gift of Eternal Life
Coming home doesn’t just mean finding peace and refuge but also receiving the greatest gift: eternal life. Reconciliation with God brings new hope. The Bible says: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16, NIV). This gift of eternal life is the ultimate purpose of returning to the Father’s arms, where we find forgiveness and restoration.
If you have wandered away, today is the day to return. God does not reject you; He loves you deeply and waits with open arms. No matter how much time has passed or how many mistakes you have made, He offers you His forgiveness and the chance to start anew. Come home, come to God, and receive the refuge, peace, and eternal life that only He can offer.
It’s time to come home!
